Add id of video to filename
Please add a setting to enable / disable (maybe not all users want this) to append the video id that youtube assigned to the video downloaded (like yt-dlp does).
This way, in the future, is possible to track anything again in youtube original link. Otherwise, reference from the original URL is lost.
Thanks for your great work !!

Please make the download button optional. I prefer the toolbar button.
Please make the download button optional. I much prefer the toolbar button.
The button re-appeared with the update, and I realize I hate it.3 votes -
move the button below the video to the right a little
I've noticed the latest version's button below the video is to the left in such a way that it cuts off part of the YouTube account name and subscriber count. I like the new icon on the toolbar. It would be cool to have the option of turning off the one below the video, and keeping the one on the toolbar.

Play videos in a playlist even if "stop autoplay" is set
I do not want videos to start playing in general but when I use a playlist, either one I created for myself or a public one, I would like the videos in that list to play automatically.
Please add an option to make an exception of "stop autoplay" for the playlist that is playing in the current tab where a video of that playlist is already playing.4 votes -
Make the popup moveable
I saw that you fixed the issue with the button on firefox but I use Opera and do not see the button, instead I get a popup. This might also happen again in other browsers should yt choose to mess with the layout again.
I do not mind at all but it would be helpful if I could move the popup somewhere so that is is not hanging over my playlist and I can still see what will play next. I do not know if I want to download a video when it starts playing, so I want to keep…1 vote -
Vimwo too? Also Bitchute?
Hi, I just discovered your Firefox extension after my long-time WinX HD video converter/downloader for Mac appears to have just dropped all download features with its latest update. Please consider adding Vimeo support too. Bitchute would be very nice too. I'd do a yearly recurring donation for reliable HD downloader.

Add a menu item to browser UI for download
17.5 has an issue again with being unable to modify the (Premium) YouTube UI (Firefox). Please, just add a menu item to browser UI for download! (Like other add-ons.) A toolbar or context menu command would keep you usable despite regular breakage by YouTube UI changes. (And ditch the annoying timed popup warning!!)

Add option to download raw webm audio stream
I was an avid user of Flashgot, and I still have a legacy portable installation for grabbing webm audio streams of videos I like, mostly creepypasta readings and other spoken word content.
This would require no additional server overhead, not like conversion or HD video downloads, and would be a massive timesaver for users like me.

Download from Rumble...
Oh, please give us the ability to download files from other sites too, especially from Rumble since YouTube censors so many 'contrary thoughts'...

Combine your efforts with invidio.us for a firefox add-on
Because youtube creates such hassles for your add-on it might be worthwhile creating a firefox add-on for the invidious.io api?
You can check out their instances page here, with link to see documentation at the top of the page :

Fix special characters that get eliminated/changed in video titles...?
I noticed that when it's time to save the video's title, the special characters such as parentheses ( ), brackets [ ], question marks (?), exclamation marks (!), quotation marks, etc. get converted to basic hyphens everywhere. When I'd first tried this add-on, it wasn't like that. When I tried it recently, I noticed the change. Is there any way to get those characters to stay in the titles? Other than that, THANK YOU! I LOVE the add-on and would donate in a heartbeat.

Make it more apparent between a download and a fetch
The 2 can be thought as the same. Fetching needs to have a small note so the user understands this is the second stage. Thumb up for this service.

Please add back old YouTube UI support for Firefox
On the old YouTube UI the Download button is massive and breaks the UI a little bit. Example: https://i.imgur.com/lbadjWu.png

Feature request, ability to disable Youtube mini player. Hate that thing.
In the settings it would be nice if you could disable the Youtube Mini player, it appears Google has removed the ability to disable this annoying pop up that appears if you leave the page while viewing a playlist.
